Impact of TED workshop

@ TEDSummit 2016 I hosted a lively & fiery discussion on the impact of TED. Attendees were selected TED community members across TEDx organizers, TED Translators, Speakers, and those who have attended TED Conferences over certain number of times. There are many ways to think about how TED has impacted the world qualitatively. However, the "worth" in "Ideas Worth Spreading" has historically been difficult to quantify at scale. Is the ultra popular light-hearted talk by James Veitch on email spam that garnered +20 million views more or less worthy than David Sediak's talk on drought with +1 million views? How might we begin to think about this in light of the ever-growing role of TEDTalks' presence online?

The workshop also explored social cache of the TED brand and how the TEDx community has expanded it world-wide.
